2014StarsintheArtsLogoThe deadline to nominate an organization or an individual for a Stars in the Arts Award is Thursday, October 1st. If there is someone that you feel deserves recognition for their leadership in the arts, please fill out the nomination form today!  Note that past winners are shown at the bottom of the form.
We have openings for dance, music, theater and visual arts instructors this fall!

Do you have experience teaching elementary, middle or high school students?
The UAC organizes classes serving hundreds of children at schools in economically depressed areas of Collier County. We are especially interested in classes that integrate creative activities with learning experiences in math, science, reading and social studies. We are also looking for instructors who can teach digital photography, video and computer art classes.

Artists should be willing to travel to school sites during non-school hours. We pay competitive hourly rates and provide supplies.

For more information, contact Janice Paine, program manager for arts in education, at 239-254-4424 or jpaine@uaccollier.com

What is the United Arts Council?

We are designated by the State of Florida as the official Local Arts Agency for Collier County.
We provide arts education to at-risk students and outreach services to those who might not otherwise have access of the arts.
We connect arts organizations, artists galleries and arts educators with one another, with local audiences and with tourism-related businesses.
We provide arts information to the public, and publish a comprehensive cultural calendar, printed and online at www.uaccollier.com.
We provide services to arts organizations, galleries and artists.
We advocate for more arts education in our schools, more funding for the arts, and more art in public places.
