Project Miracle provides after-school programs in academics, arts, sports, health and family literacy. These grant-funded programs serve at-risk students at 10 locations in Collier County. The main goal of these projects is to provide enhanced learning experiences for youth, leading to continuous improvement in academic achievement and student behavior. The United Arts Council organizes arts education classes, projects and artists' residencies for MIRACLE schools. Students learn about dance, drama, music and the visual arts through hands-on activities led by professional artists and instructors. These grant-funded programs serve approximately 1,500 students at Lake Park Elementary, Highlands Elementary, Lake Trafford Elementary, Pinecrest Elementary, Village Oaks Elementary, Immokalee Middle, RCMA Community School, Manatee Elementary, Manatee Middle and the Boys & Girls Club. Project partners are the Community Foundation of Collier County, Collier County Public Schools, Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board and the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County.
