PLUS 1, 2 & 3
Miracle Plus provides after-school programs in academics, arts, sports, health and family literacy. These grant-funded programs serve at-risk students at 8 locations in Immokalee. The main goal of these projects is to provide enhanced learning experiences for youth, leading to continuous improvement in academic achievement and student behavior.
The United Arts Council organizes art classes, projects and artists' residencies for Miracle Plus schools. Students learn about dance, drama, music and the visual arts through hands-on activities led by professional artists and instructors.
These grant-funded programs serve approximately 1,000 students at Eden Park Elementary, Highlands Elementary, Lake Trafford Elementary, Pinecrest Elementary, Village Oaks Elementary, Immokalee Middle, Immokalee High and RCMA's Immokalee Community School. In addition, the council serves students at Parkside Elementary in Naples.
Project partners are the Collier County Public Schools and Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board.
