We are excited to announce that the United Arts Council of Collier County has officially joined Americans for the Arts’ latest national economic impact study, Arts & Economic Prosperity 5! The goal of our participating in this important research project will enable us to quantify the economic impact of the arts and culture industry in Collier County. We all know that our industry supports jobs and generates government revenue locally, statewide and nationally. This research will quantify that important information for Collier County. In June of 2017, we’ll receive a final report that tells us just how many jobs and how much money the arts represent in Collier County!
We need volunteers to complete this survey! Can you help?
WHO: Do you like to attend arts and cultural events? If so, the United Arts Council needs YOU! The United Arts Council acts much like a Chamber of Commerce for the arts community in Collier County. Our mission is: Enriching lives and strengthening the community through the power of the arts.
WHAT: The United Arts Council in partnership with Americans for the Arts will conduct a study of the economic impact of spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations and their audiences. We need you to speak to audience members prior to events.
WHERE: These events will occur throughout Collier County. Please let us know if you have a location you prefer.
WHY: The study will measure: 1. The impact of spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations; and 2. The impact of event-related spending by arts and culture audiences.
WHEN: The study starts January 2016 and continues throughout 2016.
The UAC will schedule volunteer and provide the training and resources needed. Surveyor will collect data from arts and cultural organizations’ audiences. Data collection protocol will be provided.
