The Bach Ensemble
The Bach Ensemble is auditioning singers to join the 40-voice chorale, instrumentalists and soloists to perform works by J.S. Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven, as well as by John Rutter and others during the 2008-09 season. The Holiday Concert will be Dec. 14, and the Winter Concert, Mar. 22. Naples Players
The Naples Players will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of The Heidi Chronicles. Anyone can try out for the cast, and no appointment is necessary. The auditions
will be held on Saturday, November 15th at 2pm at the Sugden Community Theatre,
701 Fifth Avenue South, Naples. The roles to be cast are three or more men (20-40 years old), and five or more
women (20-40), with doubling possible. Rehearsals begin on December 15th; the show opens February 4th, 2009, and runs through February 28th. At the audition, actors will be asked to read excerpts from the script, which is
available at the Sugden Community Theatre box office for perusal for up to 72
hours (with a $20 deposit). Call the box office at 263-7990 to check for
availability.
Naples Orchestra & Chorus
Naples Orchestra & Chorus, under new conductor Robert Herrema, are holding auditions open to adults and high school students.
On Nov. 3rd and 10th, at 6:30pm, the chorus will hold auditions at Golden Gate High School. Participants will be asked to sing a brief song and simple scales. For Chorus information call 513-9396.
On Nov. 8 and 15, the orchestra will hold auditions at Golden Gate High School. Be prepared with a short piece and to stay and rehearse with the orchestra. For orchestra information call 775-8460.

Voices of Naples
Voices of Naples will be conducting open auditions for the upcoming 2008-09 season beginning on Monday, October 6 at 7:00pm at First Christian Church, 1789 Mandarin Road, Naples. There are currently openings in all sections of the choir. Candidates should be prepared to sing something of their own choosing (unaccompanied) and to sight read a piece of the director's choosing. VON rehearses Monday evenings from mid-October to early April, and perofrms three concerts during the season.
