The Conservancy of Southwest Florida needs volunteers!!!! Our success depends on recruiting and training many more volunteers skilled in dealing with visitors to assist at the Conservancy Nature Center, especially our “Guest Services” team – greeters, admissions, guest services desk, Nature Store sales, docents, dock masters and boat captains. : : The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is now recruiting volunteers!!!! If you have a love for children and the time to donate, we want to hear from you. In order to become a volunteer at the museum you must: Have time to commit to a minimum of a 4 hour shift weekly, work one night a month for special events or be on an on-call list. An interview for a position will be conducted and each volunteer will go through a background check procedure. All volunteers will receive a shirt and badge. $50 is asked for the cost of the background check, shirt and badge. Students ages 15-17 have an artistic opportunity for volunteer hours this summer. The Naples Art Association presents eight weeks of ARTScool, an educational program for children during June, July and August. Interns play a vital role, working with students, supporting instructors and learning skills in an active art center environment while earning volunteer community service hours.
ARTScool classes are designed for youth ages 5 to 14 and are taught by a professional teaching staff. Interns help to administer ARTScool and are considered part of the staff under the supervision of teachers, head interns, and the Director of Education.
Requirements for Internship:
- Age requirement - 15 to 17 years old
- Must commit to 2 weeks; 80 hours of work
- Parental permission required
- Recommendation from teacher
- Personal interview
