ChorusEverglades5The Chorus of the Everglades is a Naples-based barbershop group consisting of men who share a love of a cappella singing (no music accompaniment).  Some are permanent Florida residents, but the majority are Snowbirds.  We present performances throughout the year in various venues and participate in community activities such as parades and festivals. musicminorsMusic for Minors Foundation awards new and gently-used instruments to deserving students in Collier and Lee counties. Since 2004, they have awarded over 200 instruments. In addition, scholarships are awarded to Music for Minors students to receive private lessons, and college scholarshiups to honor its founder, Dorothy Friedenreich. Students must have excellent grades in all subjects, remain in their band or orchestra at school, and must return annually for three years to graduate from MFM and own his/her instrument.

The Naples Music Club, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support music education and performance, to provide scholarships, and to engage in collaborative outreach efforts within Naples and its neighboring communities. Its Annual Scholarship Competition attracts over 100 students in grades 6-12 who compete for awards that help fund private teachers, better quality instruments and summer music camps. philharmonicThe Naples Philharmonic has long been recognized as one of the cornerstones of Southwest Florida’s arts community and is increasingly recognized as one of the country’s best young orchestras.
