Father's Day Collage
What you need:
- Glue
- Big Piece of Paper
- Scissors
- Old magazines or catalogs
How to make it:
- Cut out pictures of stuff that your dad likes. For example, you could do cars, sports or fishing.
- Put glue ont he back of your pictures.
- Place pictures wherever you want on the paper.
- Let it dry overnight.
Pirate Treasure Bottle
What you need:
- Clear plastic soda bottle
- Beads, coins, charms, plastic bugs, pretty stones, buttons, sequins, etc. - Any small treasures you like.
- Rice or sand
How to make it:
- Remove the label from the soda bottle.
- Gather your small treasures and put them in the bottle. Then add uncooked rice or sand to fill the bottle about two-thirds full. Screw the cap on tight. Shake well to hide the treasures.
- Now twist and turn the the treasure bottle to see how many treasures you can find inside.
Fabulous Shells
What you need:
- Clam or scallop shells that are white inside.
- Markers, paint and/or glitter glue.
How to make it:
- Clean and dry your shells.
- Create miniature ocean paintings or drawings inside the shells. You can include fish, crabs, water, palm trees, swimmers, sailboats and more. Highlight your drawings with glitter glue if you like.
Beautiful Bug Jar
What you need:
- Clean plastic jar and cover - a large peanut butter jar works well.
- Colored clay or play dough that hardens as it air dries.
- Sand, dried grass, leaves, etc. for the bottom of the bug jar.
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or markers.
How to make it:
- Put your sand, dried grass, leaves or other natural materials in the bottom of your jar.
- Use the clay to create magical, fantastical bugs of every shape, size and color. Let them harden.
- Use the Glow-in-the-dark paint or markers to highlight your bugs so they will glow in the dark.
- Put the bugs in the jar and put the cover on. When it gets dark, your bugs will glow!
