The Miracle Project provides after-school programs in academics, arts, sports, health and family literacy. These grant-funded programs serve at-risk students at seven locations in Immokalee. The main goal is to provide enhanced learning experiences for youth, leading to improvements in academic achievement and student behavior. Miracle programs also provide students with a vision of the future, connecting their educational experiences with college and career exploration.
The United Arts Council organizes art classes, projects and artists’ residencies for Miracle schools. Students learn about dance, drama, music and the visual arts through hands-on activities led by professional artists and instructors.
Miracle programs serve approximately 1,000 students at Eden Park Elementary, Highlands Elementary, Lake Trafford Elementary, Pinecrest Elementary, Village Oaks Elementary, Immokalee Middle and Immokalee High.
Project partners are the Collier County Public Schools and Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board.
