Recycle Center

Background: Building upon our mission to "enrich lives and strengthen our community through the power of the arts," we operate a recycling center to gather unwanted materials from local businesses. Our schools are constantly facing increasing costs and decreasing budgets. Teachers often have to buy their own supplies in order to provide fun and creative art projects for their students. At the same time, landfills are filling up and businesses throw away tons of materials.
The Recycling Center will solve this problem by linking teachers with recycled materials. Businesses will have a chance to assist local art programs and reduce some of their landfill waste. Recycling greatly benefits our environment as our increasing population strains its resources.
Goal: Connecting "Arts" teachers with recycled materials donated by local businesses for imaginative student creations
Objectives: a) To identify local businesses and organizations with unneeded materials and by-products that can be reused by teachers. b) Collect materials from businesses and store them. c) Provide "Arts" teachers with a cache of supplies for fun and creative projects.
Location: In the United Arts Council office in the Moorings Professional Building, 2335 Tamiami Trail, #504, Naples (next to Red Lobster.)
Hours: The hours of the facility vary, so please call to confirm.
